Trujillo al Paso 02 Days / 01 Night

DAY 01: TRUJILLO IN – CITY WALKING TOUR

Reception at the station or airport and transfer to the chosen hotel.

17:00 hrs We will learn about the history of the city of Trujillo, from the Spanish foundation, to the Republican era on a walking tour.

Trujillo Main Square, The House of Identity or Old Center: Old Republican mansion with outstanding architecture exhibiting an exhibition of the typical Trujillo dance La Marinera.

Urquiaga House: Current headquarters of the central reserve bank of Peru, the house will take us back to the 1800s with beautiful architecture, in one of its spaces Simón Bolívar, hero of the independence of Peru, was received. (closed Saturday and Sunday)

Jirón Pizarro: Walking along this central street we will see the outside of the Emancipation House and the Iturregui Palace that are part of the history of the city.

Archaeology Museum of the National University of Trujillo, where pieces of art, ceramics and textiles from the first settlers of the northern coast of Peru stand out, as well as from the Cupisnique, Gallinazo, Salinas, Moche, Chimú and Inca cultures. Ceramics from the Chancay and Nasca cultures are on display.

*The tour ends in the city's Plaza de Armas

DAY 02: HUACA SOL & LUNA | CHAN CHAN | HUACO EROTICO - TRUJILLO OUT

Breakfast.

10:30 hrs Start of the visit to “Las Huacas Del Sol y La Luna”, located to the south in the traditional Moche countryside. We will see the largest constructions of the Moche civilization, with impressive polychrome murals of ancient divinities. Finally, we will visit and take panoramic photos of the Temple of the Sun, and stop to take photos at the erotic or fertility huacos.

13:00 hrs Stop for lunch in the city of Trujillo (lunch not included)

14:30 hrs The tour will continue north to visit the archaeological zone of the ancient city of Chanchan, now called Nikan Palace, and to end with a stop at the historic beach of Huanchaco.

18:00 hrs Arrival in Trujillo.
