Romance of Bali, Private Tour

Day 1: Arrival Denpasar – Ubud (40km – 1.5 Hrs)

Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, the capital of Bali, the ‘Island of 1,000 temples’. Meet with your guide to transfer to your hotel in the Ubud area for check-in. Ubud is well-known as the art centre of Bali, geographically located in the heart of the island, and home of many famous artists, both native and foreign. Spreading its charm through art, especially paintings, a laid-back atmosphere can be found in every corner of this beautiful village. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Ubud.

Day 2: Ubud – Legong Dance – Dinner At Café Wayan – Ubud (10km – 30 Min)

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a morning free at leisure. In the late afternoon, your guide picks you up at the hotel. Proceed to visit Ubud Palace where you will be entertained by the legendary, classically Balinese legong dance performance, a refined dance form characterised by intricate finger movements, complicated footwork, and expressive gestures and facial expressions. The transfer is private and the performance is public. Afterwards, stroll along Ubud’s main streets next to the traditional market that leads you to one of Ubud’s favourite restaurants, Cafe Wayan – featured in the movie ‘Eat Pray Love’ – to savour a delicious Balinese dinner. After, transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Ubud. Dinner included.

Day 3: Ubud: Bicycle Tour (2 Hrs)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, your private tour guide and vehicle will pick you up from the hotel lobby and transfer you to Ubud’s town centre where your bicycle awaits to take you to explore the area’s peaceful surroundings. A safety briefing is conducted by your professional cycling guide, describing the route you will embark on. Set off on your two-hour cycling adventure through untouched rice terraces and villages dotted with traditional houses and temples. After the bike tour, transfer back to the hotel with a free afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Ubud. 

Day 4: Ubud: Revitalizing Massage

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a relaxed morning at your leisure – unwind by the pool or simply sit on your balcony and soak in the peaceful sounds of nature. At the scheduled time, board your vehicle for your transfer and indulge in a two-hour spa treatment. Begin with a rejuvenating one-hour facial, followed by a revitalizing full-body session combining massage stretches and acupressure techniques designed to improve circulation, calm the mind, and promote deep relaxation. All of this unfolds to the soothing symphony of the Ayung River and birdsong, enhancing the sense of serenity. After your treatment, enjoy some additional time at leisure before your transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Ubud.

Day 5: Ubud – Nusa Dua (79km – 3hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, our tour guide will pick you up to experience a Balinese Hindu cultural ceremony, blessing and purification at Tirta Empul Temple, famous for its holy water where Balinese worshipers have been drawn to for more than a thousand years. You will find a bathing pool of natural spring water with old style Balinese design. The guardian of the temple will accompany you to present the offering at the main temple; before you deep yourself in the pool of natural spring water as Balinese people do for purification. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will be transferred to Celuk Village to develop your personal skills and discover the art of Balinese silver craftsmanship. Upon arrival, you will meet a local artist who will guide you step by step through the silver-making process, transforming your design into a piece of wearable art. With the 10 grams of silver provided, you can create a beautiful ring, an exotic pendant, or a stunning pair of earrings. At the end of this engaging and enjoyable experience, you will be served a cup of tea or coffee accompanied by traditional Balinese cakes. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the Nusa Dua area to check in and relax. Overnight in Nusa Dua.

Day 6: Nusa Dua: Leisure Day

After a savoury breakfast at the hotel, enjoy your day at leisure lying by the hotel pool, listening to your favourite music or reading your favourite book. Alternatively, enjoy an optional tour activity. Royal Lake and Sea Temples optional tour: Your tour begins when you are picked up at 08:30 hrs from your hotel by your private driver-guide. Start with a visit to Taman Ayun, the Royal Temple of Mengwi. Built in 1634, this very impressive temple is Bali’s most sacred, surrounded by a wide moat which creates the sensation as if you are standing in the middle of the lake. From there, continue on to Bedugul. This pleasant mountain village is located on Lake Bratan and you will visit its botanical gardens and market. Due to its higher altitude and cooler weather, Bedugul is Bali’s agricultural centre for vegetables. Afterwards, enjoy a set menu lunch at a local private retreat which is now open to the public by the lake.Overnight in Nusa Dua.

Day 7: Nusa Dua: Leisure Day

Savour breakfast at the hotel and enjoy your day at leisure by the hotel’s pool, listening to your favourite music, reading a great book, or simply spending time with your special someone.  Overnight in Nusa Dua.

Day 8: Nusa Dua – Karma Beach With Lunch – Uluwatu – Nusa Dua (45km – 3 Hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, start your day by discovering fabulous beaches and a remarkable temple at the southernmost tip of Bali. Drive to Bukit, home of some secluded beaches and thrilling cliffs, attracting both surfers and non-surfers. Enjoy the exclusive and spectacular view from the top of Karma Beach, from where you will take an electric funicular down to the private beach. Relax on the golden sand and perhaps swim in the azure waters (if water currents permit). Note: The Karma Beach activity includes an entrance fee, a three-course lunch, one cocktail from the menu, beach towels, use of non-motorized gear, i.e. kayak and snorkelling equipment (based on availability). In the afternoon, continue the day with a visit to Uluwatu, an exquisite monument perched above the sea and situated on a headland at the westernmost tip of the peninsula. Afterwards, drive back to your hotel. Overnight in Nusa Dua.

Day 9: Nusa Dua: Leisure Day

Savour breakfast at the hotel and enjoy your last full day at leisure by the pool, at the beach, or simply enjoying the island’s beautiful surrounds.  Overnight in Nusa Dua.

Day 10: Nusa Dua – Denpasar Airport (15km – 30 Min)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out of the hotel, meet with your guide and then transfer to Denpasar airport for your flight back home. Breakfast included.
