Day 2: Chicago
Visit some of Chicago’s iconic attractions such as the Cloud Gate sculpture (a.k.a The Bean) at Millennium Park, the Ledge glass balcony at Skydeck Chicago off the 103rd floor of Willis Tower, and the new Centennial Wheel at Navy Pier.
Day 3: St Louis
Leave in the morning on Route 66. At McLean, stop at the Dixie Truckers Home, a perfect opportunity to admire superb U.S. trucks. Further on is Springfield, capital of Illinois. The city is entirely devoted to the legacy of Abraham Lincoln who lived there. You will have the opportunity to tour his home.
Saint Louis has long been a major river port, railroad hub, and industrial center. It was once one of the largest cities west of New York.
Don’t miss the iconic Gateway Arch, the tallest man-made monument in the USA.
Day 4: Springfield

Day 5: Oklahoma City
Today you will traverse the state of Kansas. Visit the State Capitol building and the Centennial Land Run Monument, one of the world’s largest bronze sculptures, and the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
Day 6: Amarillo
Make a stop in Clinton, to learn the history of Route 66. Amarillo has experienced many things, from civil war battles to the creation of many millionaires from the ‘black gold’ of the area. Plan a photo stop at the world-famous Cadillac Ranch.
Day 7: Santa Fe
The city and the surrounding areas have a high concentration of artists. They have come over the decades to capture on canvas the natural beauty of the landscape.
Day 8: Santa Fe
Visit the adobe Palace of the Governors, one of the nation’s oldest landmarks, wander the historic streets of old Santa Fe, explore the Loretto Chapel or O’Keefe Museum.
Day 9: Gallup
Head to Albuquerque. consider making a stop at Petroglyph National Monument, to hike among ancient petroglyphs and enjoy the desert landscape. You can also visit Acoma Pueblo, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the US. Make a stop at El Malpais National Monument, the area features unique volcanic landscapes, including lava flows and caves.
Day 10: Flagstaff
Explore Gallup, with its rich Native American culture and art galleries. Heat to the Petrified Forest. This site is the result of a long process: silica crystallized into quartz where tree trunks were preserved as petrified wood. Incorporated in the park is the Painted Desert, a vast arid badland scattered with buttes and mesas.
Day 11: Kingman
Drive to Grand Canyon, a superb geological phenomenon. This is most certainly one of the highlights of your trip. Walk along the South Rim to see one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring wonders in the world.
Day 12: Las Vegas
Departure towards Las Vegas, the gambling capital of the world. En route, make a stop in Seligman. Retaining all the character of the old road, a visit to this town is a trip back in time to the days when Route 66 was the Main Street of America.
Day 13: Las Vegas
You will then go from the calm and serenity of the Route 66 to the lights and extravagance of the legendary city of Las Vegas. Oasis lost in the desert of Nevada, Las Vegas is the city where luxury and entertainment are at its finest as the lights, games, glitz, and stars shine throughout the night.
Day 14: Los Angeles
You will then go from the calm and serenity of the Route 66 to the lights and extravagance of the legendary city of Las Vegas. Oasis lost in the desert of Nevada, Las Vegas is the city where luxury and entertainment are at its finest as the lights, games, glitz, and stars shine throughout the night.
Day 15: Los Angeles
L.A is known for its cinema, chic neighborhoods, celebrities, legendary beaches, and Palm trees, but the city is equally renowned for its museums and shops.
Day 16: Los Angeles
End of the tour. Return the car (airport).
