Day 1: Arrival To Tokyo

Day 2: Tokyo

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day. Suggested visits : Start your trip peacefully by visiting Meiji Jingu shrine. Close by is the pedestrian street Takeshita Dori, famous for its many small boutiques. Then, take a walk along Omotesando Avenue to admire the architecture, or do some shopping in the Shibuya district to discover the crazy fashion of Tokyo ! Overnight stay : Tokyo.


Day 3: Tokyo

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day. Suggested visits : Discover the traditional districts of Asakusa and Ueno where you will travel back in time visiting Senso-ji Temple and Sumida Park. Then, go for some sightseeing in Yanaka, also known as the « old Tokyo ». If you enjoy electronics and manga, don’t miss the crazy video games in Akihabara district, rediscover the mangas of your childhood and dive in the quirky universe of Cosplay ! Day 4: Tokyo / Kanazawa

Day 5: Kanazawa

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day. Suggested visits : Let yourself be charmed by the old-fashioned perfume of this city: small streets full of character, castles, Kenrokuen garden to take you back to another era. Kanazawa is also renowned for its crafts. There is the opportunity here to discover the silk kimonos, ceramics, or Wajima lacquers. This region and Gokayama’s region have several villages known for their authenticity and the style of thatched houses, such as Shirakawago. Ogimachi is the best known and it also offers art and craft museums. Take the day to visit these villages and dive into another era, while admiring the beautiful mountainous landscape of the Japanese Alps. Overnight stay : Kanazawa.


Day 6: Kanazawa / Kyoto

Day 7: Kyoto

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day. Suggested visits : Start with a zen walk in the bamboo field of Arashiyama, and visit the Tenryu ji temple. Continue on for plenty of sightseeing in the center, especially in Gion district where you can find the beautiful Geishas. You can stop by Nishiki market, famous for its impressive size and the diverse foods that you can find there. Overnight stay : Kyoto.


Day 8: Kyoto

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day. Suggested visits : Don’t leave Kyoto without seeing the fabulous Fushimi Inari shinto shrine and its thousands of red toriis in the middle of the forest. You can do a tour in the south of Higashiyama to discover the Kiyomizu dera temple, the Maruyama koen park, or the Chion in temple. The Nanzen ji temple also worth a visit. Eventually, you can visit the Kinkakuji, the golden temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the rock garden of Ryoan ji. Overnight stay : Kyoto.


Day 9: Kyoto

Day 10: Kyoto / Hiroshima

Suggested visits : Take the time to reflect on the tragic history of Hiroshima and the astonishing pacifist reconstruction after the nuclear bombing by visiting the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. Hiroshima proposes many pleasant walks around the Ikari sanctuary or the Shukkei-en Garden, ideal for meditating on the history of the city. Overnight stay : Hiroshima.


Day 11: Hiroshima

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day. Suggested visits : Don’t pass by the marvelous Miyajima Island: take the ferry to discover this extraordinary island that houses the famous floating Itsukushima Torii, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight stay : Hiroshima.


Day 12: Hiroshima / Okayama

Suggested visits : Okayama proposes its famous Korakuen Garden which battles for its place among the most beautiful gardens in the country, located right next to its castle. Day 13: Okayama

Day 14: Okayama / Osaka

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Osaka with your Kansai Hiroshima Area Pass. Free day. Suggested visits : Neighboring Kyoto, Osaka is the second largest metropolitan area in Japan and deserves a visit to see the essentials. Visit Osaka Castle, one of the most important castles of the country, which experienced many time periods and conflicts. Continue on to learn more at the Osaka History Museum. Walk around the districts of Umeda and Namba to do some shopping or try some renowned local gastronomy, or wander the animated streets of Dotonbori in the evening. If you wish to see more of traditional Japan, visit the Sumiyoshi sanctuary or the Buddhist temple Shitennoji, which is more than 1400 years old ! Overnight stay : Osaka.


Day 15: Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by train with your Kansai Hiroshima Area Pass to Osaka airport for your return flight.
